Conservation crops

With an increasing focus on the farmed environment’s contribution to biodiversity, pollinators, soil health and water quality, conservation crops grown to a high quality have a key role to play. Wildflower plots and margins, nectar mixes and wild bird seed mixes, can help satisfy a number of legislative requirements associated with modern British farming. They can facilitate successful agri-environment scheme applications in England and Scotland, contribute to voluntary measures for The Campaign for the Farmed Environment and form part of other conservation projects such as those associated with Farm Assurance Schemes.

Kings works closely with growers and other organisations, such as Natural England and Campaign for the Farmed Environment, to achieve success with conservation projects and stewardship agreements.
