Soil Analysis

Good crops require the best possible start and this begins with soil testing, undertaken ideally at the beginning of the cropping year. Plots should be sampled on rotation every three years; however where an area is new or has been causing repeated problems it is good practice to sample more regularly.

We offer two options:

Basic soil analysis- this covers soil acidity/alkalinity (pH), phosphate, potassium and magnesium, and is our most commonly used test, covering most situations.

Broad spectrum analysis- we recommend this test for areas where persistent crop establishment problems have occured or the site in question requires further examination. It covers all the main nutrients as well as a full range of trace elements.
