We continue to see a significant level of interest in the Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS). This initiative promotes land management practices which protect and enhance Scotland’s natural heritage, improve water quality, manage flood risk and mitigate climate change.
We have seen particular interest in the farmland habitat options including wild bird seed mixtures, buffer strips with wild flowers and overwintered stubbles followed by a summer fallow. With careful planning, the options can be integrated to benefit sporting, farmland habitat, resource protection and agronomic requirements.
The chart below illustrates these key options and the suggested mixtures that we offer. Should you require further details on the scheme itself or specific options and their associated mixtures, please contact us on 0800 5879797 or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
